Looks like we've finally made it! It's been a long trip, but my Pokémon and I have arrived safely in Goldenrod. I regret not being able to take it at a slower pace, but hopefully the time we spend here will make up for it.

[He pauses here, looking thoughtful.]

I've been... curious, to say the least. In the time I've spent here, I've heard of a few different worlds, and they all seem to have differing views on the subject of magic. So now, I would like to bring the question to all of Johto - what is magic like in your world? If it doesn't exist, what is it supposedly like? My own world relies on magic, so I can't help but wonder.

[Later; Action at the Breeding Centre]

[Asuma arrives, Reika the Gloom following him as always. He's mostly just checking the place out for now, but he'll probably make his way to the front desk at some point. Bother? Help the guy out? It's up to you!]

Yeah, definitely. I'm sure pretty much anyone would take that over someone they didn't like.

Still, I have to wonder if anyone would be happy to see someone they hated here, just for a familiar face.

I guess it depends... I mean, there's definitely a few people who'd just piss me off no matter what.

[He nods. There aren't many people like that, but he can think of a couple who he'd want to hit. He lets out a quiet sigh.]

Yeah, but they're not here, so I guess it doesn't matter much.

If that's the case, we'll have to hope they won't ever come here.

Yeah, pretty much. I mean, you never know what'll happen around here, but I guess for now it's not that big of a deal.

I don't think that's always a bad thing, though. If it hadn't unpredictably taken me, I wouldn't have been able to have a change of pace in my life.

Yeah, I guess you've got a point there. I didn't really... think of it that way, a guess.

It may be different for you, though. Life at home was fast-paced, so I'm enjoying taking things slower here.

Hehe, things were really... slow back home. I guess... [A thoughtful pause.] I like my friends being all together here. We were pretty split up back home.

So you were able to reunite when you came here. That's very lucky of you!

Yeah... [A small smile, and he stretches his arms out over his head.] That's definitely the best part about it, at least for me.
